For those of you who may have missed our last newsletters, below is a short overview of the reason Mother Earth has adopted a new standard in our HBA department.
We absorb more chemicals and synthetic toxins through our skin and through inhaling fumes than through the food we eat. Once absorbed, these chemicals will quickly enter our bloodstream directly. Our skin absorbs up to 60% of what we put on it.
This includes the toxic insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, and fertilizers sprayed on products we use in skin care. Many things that we apply to our skin show up in our blood stream within twenty minutes.
Once in our bodies, our fatty tissue stores these chemicals and has extreme potential to lead to numerous health problems. After much research, we at Mother Earth have adopted a new standard for our HBA products, avoiding ingredients that are known to be detrimental to our bodies.
